Biografia: 

Kinga Konieczna is a faculty member in the Department of Civil Law at the University of Gdańsk’s Faculty of Law and Administration, where she has taught since 2018. Her research focuses on tort law, comparative private law, and private international law. She is currently completing a doctoral dissertation on civil liability. She was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at The Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law in Washington, D.C. In 2023, she conducted research at the Institute for European Tort Law in Vienna. Her education includes several international academic trainings courses, including the Hague Academy of International Law (2021), Summer School of European Private Law in Salzburg (2019) and the International Business and Trade Law Program by  Jagiellonian University and The Catholic University of America (2018).

She earned her law degree cum laude from the University of Gdańsk in 2018. As a student, she was awarded scholarship from the Polish Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding academic achievement and the University of Gdańsk Rector’s nomination for the Best Student in Pomerania. She completed civil law notary training (aplikacja notarialna), and passed the Polish notarial examination in 2022. Alongside her academic work, she is a deputy civil-law notary and is a member of the Regional Chamber of Notaries in Gdańsk.  Since 2026 she serves as the Dean’s Representative for Academic Cooperation with the United States.

Kinga Konieczna has authored numerous publications on civil law and private international law. She has presented her research at academic conferences, including the Fifth and Sixth National Congresses of Departments of Private International Law, held in Kraków (2021) and Katowice (2024). She is also a contributing author to a civil law teaching volume, which received the University of Gdańsk Rector’s First-Degree Team Award in 2023.
